      IVF Fees

How to Compare IVF Prices

When comparing fees between one IVF program and another, the same principal holds true and when comparing success rates:  Make sure you know the whole picture.

Apart from the quoted fee, will there be other charges_  Typically, medications,  micromanipulation procedures (if needed) and embryo freezing are not included.  Other services also may be extra.

This chart may help you with your comparison.  Feel free to print it:

IVF Package Plans

Two types of IVF "package pricing" plans are frequently offered today.

One is a multiple cycle pricing plan (sometimes known as a "cost containment" plan), in which you pay a set fee for a package of two or more cycles.

The other is similar to a "cost containment" plan, but offers you a partial or complete refund if you do not become pregnant. (This is sometimes known as a "shared risk" or "full refund program.")

Comparing fees for these types of plans is even more difficult, because more factors come into play.

How many cycles will they allow_   What is the time limit in which you must complete them_  How much will be refunded if you do not become pregnant_
